REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

IN ATTENDANCE: Chair Lyle Peterson, Supervisor Steve Smith, Supervisor Arvid Jenkins, Treasurer Deb Nelson, Clerk Jennifer Jenkins and Deputy Clerk Brad Brown.

RESIDENT INPUT: None.

AGENDA: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to approve the agenda, with two additions which Supervisor Steve Smith 2nds. All in favor, motion carried.

MINUTES: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins makes a motion to approve the October Meeting Minutes with the spelling correction noted by Chair Lyle Peterson, which Supervisor Steve Smith 2nds. All in favor, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS: none.

NEW BUSINESS: Chris and Sonia Gallagher proposed a plan for a plat on 325th Ave NW, Chair Lyle Peterson believes that it would no reason to call the Planning Commission to meeting and said that once it was platted with the county the township would sign off on it. Chair Lyle Peterson informed them that the township issues address and 911 signs. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins advised them that in case of lightning strike, to guide the firemen to the location, it might be a good idea to address and 911 one site.
Keith Moody wants to provide a building place for a son but wants the SW corner of the South 40, a 3-acre spot as access to the property off County Rd 5. Keith says that Zoning would have to plat it out. Don Hanson would have to call Trina. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins said that you might have building rights but not a building site. Chair Lyle Peterson advised Keith that he would probably have to start at the county first.
Rebecca Schultz from Blue Lake Association brought news of the message boards and advised that the message on the East side of Blue Lake was installed, but not the Northside sign. She will try to get Loren Daudt to help install the last board. Chair Lyle Peterson suggested that if the ground is too frozen to dig, maybe sand in 5-gallon buckets might work until spring.
PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT: none

FIRE BOARD UPDATE: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins reported that Isanti had 4 calls for the month 71 calls in the district. Total number of calls are down from this time last year, so far 707 compared to 745 last year. No movement on service charge due to the lack of substantial movement on the JPA caused by one township’s undecidedness.
Princeton Fire negotiations with Wyanette Township are coming to an agreement. OSHA requirement that “Turn Out Gear” not be more that 10 years old means that Princeton is required to buy 9 new “turn out gear”.

 

ROAD AND BRIDGE: Chair Lyle Peterson said that most of the potholes have been repaired. Rum River Contracting supplied some free patching which they applied, they plan to work with us in the future. Areas that if temperature warms up are; the south end of Nacre, west of the Mystic, and down by Ideal. Chair Lyle Peterson said that he reversed a spray-painted sign at Tungsten. Brushing was done at Roanoke, beaver problem at 313th Justin put in grate and traps, Ziegler came to shop and did the updates on the Grader, 297 and Helium, 911 sign is up, called County Zoning on 3 places, call from Blue Lake 911 sign resident never got, had been a year. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins suggests that Chair Lyle Peterson install a 911 sign just south of 297th on the west side and that we should take applications for a backup snowplow driver. Chair Lyle Peterson agrees to both suggestions.

CLERK REPORT: Clerk Jennifer Jenkins reports the utility ordinance Connexus is notified. Deputy Clerk Brad Brown reported on the furnace repair and the Officer’s Meeting at the Government Center.

 

TREASURER REPORT: Treasurer Deb Nelson reports that Gopher Bounty is $1548 so far. She called Sannarud to file 1099’s, they said they would if sent to them. Cash Control statement balances, W9 forms to Thomas Lundeen and Cal Calandar.
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report and pay bills made by Supervisor Steve Smith, seconded by Supervisor Arvid Jenkins, all in favor, motion carried,
