CALL TO ORDER: 7:00pm

RESIDENT INPUT: None.

AGENDA: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to accept the agenda which Supervisor Steve Smith made a 2nd. All in favor, motion carried.

MINUTES: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to approve the August Regular Meeting Minutes, with five corrections, which Supervisor Steve Smith made a 2nd. All in favor, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:
A. Roanoke Resolution to erect speed limit signs revision: Clerk Jennifer Jenkins states she did not author the road description so she does not know what to type and brought it to the Board for them to decide. Supervisor Steve Smith states the road description was right and he had forgotten that part of Roanoke, but the legal statue is wrong. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins looks up statue and it is determined to omit subd. 2a.. Clerk Jennifer Jenkins will work on it for next month.

NEW BUSINESS: None.

PLANNING COMMISSION: Supervisor Steve Smith states he met with Trinia and Holly, from Isanti County Zoning regarding combining lots. They had stated there is one already adopted in 2009, people have one year to sell the lot or it is combined with the other lots.

FIRE BOARD UPDATE: Princeton Fire District: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins reported there was one run in the Township. They have a plan for truck replacement; one new engine and a used ladder, with a plan in place to spend a million dollars. They have formed a committee for coming up with a job description and pay for a part time fire chief which involves the following; the mayor Paul Whitcomb, Cathy from Wyanette, and myself from Spencer Brook, that is it so far as he knows.

Isanti Fire: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins reported five runs which all were medicals. They plan to replace a truck, and have fast tracked one application because he was such a good candidate.

ROAD AND BRIDGE: Supervisor Steve Smith reports started on Tiger street curb and gutter but has been delayed because fiber optic needed to be moved, the rain garden is delayed because no one put in a bid for it.
Supervisor Steve Smith asks if the Board wants him to get a hold of the company we had do crack filling for this spring, it would be about $15-$17 thousand for about 21/2 miles. The Board agreed for Supervisor Steve to get a hold of Seal tech for Variolite, 323rd, Dolphin, 324th, Xerus, and 279th by Blue Lake.

Supervisor Steve reports the ditches of 279th were plugged up, so they were cleaned out. There is a tree pushed off on the shoulder of Zuni Street (Dennis Kowalik interjected and said he would take the tree to burn) and another tree on Tiger Street south. Chair Lyle Peterson asks for Supervisor Steve Smith to stay for a little time after 297th is finished. Chair Lyle Peterson gives a report from the MAT District meeting in Cambridge.

CLERK REPORT: Clerk Jennifer Jenkins reports and reads the emails to the Supervisors. Clerk Jennifer Jenkins asks for a motion to deal with the email from Florida. Supervisor Steve Smith makes a motion to not report confidential information to the company from Florida as well as any other company and seek guidance from MN MAT attorney Steve Fenske, which was 2nd by Supervisor Arvid Jenkins. All in favor, motion carried. Pete from Data Lab Systems presents his information on building a website for Spencer Brook Township. Supervisor Steve Smith makes a motion to hire data lab systems to build a website for Spencer Brook Township, which Supervisor Arvid Jenkins 2nds. All in favor, motion carried. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins makes a motion to put an ad in the official newspapers for hiring a snowplow driver for the 2018/2019 season, which was 2nd by Chair Lyle Peterson. All in favor, motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT: Treasurer Deb Nelson reports claims and balances, and gopher bounty. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report, and pay claims, which was 2nd by Supervisor Steve Smith. All in favor, motion carried. Treasurer Deb Nelson made the Board aware the Wyanette Creek cd is coming due in January. Discussion commenced about acquiring another laptop. Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to give Treasurer Deb Nelson permission to spend $1500.00 for the purchase of another laptop computer, which was 2nd by Chair Lyle Peterson. All in favor, motion carried.

Chair Lyle Peterson will check out the garbage at Baxter Lake access.

ADJOURNMENT: Supervisor Arvid Jenkins made a motion to adjourn which was 2nd by Supervisor Steve Smith. All in favor, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:39pm.
